遇到要形容某事或某物很好的时候，我们总是容易词穷。今天跟大家分享几个good的替换词，分别有不同的侧重点和使用情境，能够帮助我们更准确地形容事物或人，也不需要一直用good啦！
1. rewarding 有利的，有益的
E.g. I have a good job.
I have a rewarding job.
有利的=profitable
Teaching is not very rewarding financially.
教书并不是一个报酬很高的工作。
E.g. My time in Brisbane has been rewarding.
有益的=satisfying
a rewarding novel一本值得一读的小说
2. satisfying 令人满意的
E.g. My career has been satisfying for several reasons.
我对我的事业很满意。
Do you prefer to work for a large or small company?
It is for this reason that I feel working for a large company is better (more rewarding /satisfying than working for a small company.)
3. awesome: extremely impressive, extremely good
美国人很喜欢用的一个词，还有cool
Me: How was the sky dive?
My friend: It was awesome!
E.g. The band is truly awesome!
(informal非正式)
词源：awe 敬畏
awe+some=filled with awe
正式含义：令人害怕的，很困难的

4. impressive 令人印象深刻的
E.g. Your performance in the interview was impressive.
an impressive view of the mountains 壮观的
E.g. Sydney Opera House is an impressive building.
5. ace 好极了（informal）
Me: How was the concert?
My friend: It was ace!
E.g. Your girlfriend has ace hair, mate.
你女朋友的头发很美。
转化成动词：I am acing my exams! (=I am nailing my exams!) 我考得超好！
6. nice
友好的：a nice person
Have a nice day!
Nice to meet you!
7. capable/competent 有能力的
/proficient 熟练的
E.g. He is a good teacher.
He is a capable/competent teacher.
He is a responsible teacher.（具体到为什么好）
以上七组词都可以在不同情境下用来代替good，形容一件事物或一个人很好。但是除了寻找所谓高级的替换词之外，解决我们平时英语词穷的问题，另一个同样重要的方法是具体化。把你要表达的东西具体化，就自然不会总是用笼统的词了。比如你想说他是个好老师，He is a good teacher的时候，你就要去思考：他为什么好。你马上就想到：他有责任，或者他很专业，这样你自然而然就会说：He is a responsible teacherhttps://mp.weixin.qq.com/He did a pretty professional job. 从而避免了一直使用good。
